A Bit About Me

I’m Justin, a gardener and hobby botanist in Philadelphia. I have a passion for studying ecology and understanding our role in the intricate relationships and natural systems surrounding us. I enjoy  the changing seasons, working with native plant materials, and observing insects and wildlife.

Growing up in Central Florida, I was more interested in the punk rock scene than exploring the coasts, marshlands, rivers, or forests. I’ve kept my punk roots while learning to slow down and appreciate the little things. It was through studying and growing trees that I started to view time, and growth, outside of an anthropocentric lens.

I made Roots of Radicles with the intent of sharing what I’ve learned with anyone who’s looking to grow amazing plants and support native wildlife in their area.
